During the course of a semester students learn a lot and put in a lot of work. The homework, evaluations (e.g. tests, papers) and class discussions they engage in are important to help them grapple with and learn the material. And that is where many classes stop. However, it is possible that this work can be linked to learning outcomes at the same time that it brings a positive impact to the community. When pedagogically appropriate, I seek to bring project based learning and community partnerships to the classroom. This blog highlights those projects.
